Stem Cell Therapy (coming soon!)
Over the last few years research in stem cell therapy has gained a significant amount of attention in terms of its fast-moving field of research and reported breakthroughs in various areas of medicine.
In the growing body, stem cells are responsible for generating new tissues, and once growth is complete, stem cells are responsible for repair and regeneration of damaged and ageing tissues.
The ideology behind stem cell therapy in sports medicine is harnessing the regenerative potential of stem cells from bone marrow and being able to grow new cells for treatment to replace diseased or damaged tissue in the body. While research into stem cell therapy is continuing, it is important to highlight that in the future stem cells is expected to further revolutionise the treatment of a large variety of injuries in sports medicine.
